PRIVACY AND COOKIE POLICY

AmazingWebDesign.co.uk is committed to protecting the privacy of users of this website and any information you provide will be held securely and in accordance with applicable law. We are also committed to being open and transparent about the methods we use with respect to our minimal use of cookies.
All communication to and from our website over the internet is via the certified HTTPS protocol and is hence encrypted to a high degree.
Any supplied information entrusted to us from enquirers and customers via our contact form(s) is treated with utmost respect and only used for the purposes intended.
Our website uses cookies. These are small files which are placed on your browsing device in order to help provide a better user experience.
However, you may prefer to disable cookies when using our site and other websites by disabling cookies in your browser. (Consult the help section of your browser and/or refer to the About Cookies website which offers guidance for all modern browsers.)
If you do disable cookies via your web browser settings before or when using our website then please be aware that our website will likely not work for you since some cookies are completely necessary in order to perform basic operations on our website. (For example: Necessary cookie-type information includes that required for users to securely log in to accounts and that to record the cookie preferences you set.)
By the continued use of our site with cookies left enabled, you consent to our legal use of cookies.
Any cookies placed on your machine whilst cookies were enabled will in some instances remain there until you manually delete them from within your browser. (This can usually be achieved by clearing your browser cache, or following your particular browser's procedure for clearing cookie-type information.)
On first visit to our website, you will have the cookie preference options labelled: 'Accept All', 'Manage' and 'Reject All' on every page until you make a choice. Please note that if you choose the 'Reject All' option, it will only disable cookies that are not strictly necessary for the site to securely and properly operate in terms of basic functionality. You should also be able to subsequently adjust your cookie preferences at any time via a link available on every page of the site.
Your chosen cookie preferences are stored only on your own device using browser local storage, which is even more secure than cookies since it stores data only accessible within a single protocol and domain. It is also probably more efficient (vs cookie storage) for this particular use because cookie data is shared with the main web server with every HTTP webpage request, whereas Local Storage access remains on your browser, and therefore cuts down on network traffic.
In any event your local storage is not operating properly, then only necessary cookie options will be enabled.
The cookies we may use include session cookies (temporary cookies that help you move around within the current browsing session on our site until you close the browser) and persistent cookies (which persist for longer). These essential cookies do not gather personal information that could be used for marketing or to track where you have been on the internet. Some cookies may collect information about website usage on our site, but in anonymous format. e.g. to indicate to us the most visited pages. These cookies cannot identify visitors and are used to improve the overall experience. In any event, they are disabled by default until you may enable them.
Our website may also use Google Analytics cookies whereby information collected by these cookies is transferred to and stored by Google on their servers in the US in accordance with its own privacy policies.
The tracking of your visits to our web pages via Google Analytics (GA) cookies is disabled/blocked by us by default since GA is not GDPR-compliant by default. i.e. It needs explicit consent from you before it can be enabled i.e. we block them by default until you may choose to enable them.. Although anonymised site visitor information is important to us to improve our service and helps with security functions (e.g. bot detection), we totally respect it is the customer who should choose if cookies are to be stored within their own device's browser. We do however ask you to enable 'Analytical Cookies' to help make our site better for everyone.
Some websites class Google Analytics (GA) analytical cookies they issue as 'Performance Cookies' on 'the basis' that the website owners (as the first-party entity) only use the resulting data in an aggregated, anonymised way. However, we do not agree with that approach since GA cookie data clearly has a unique identifier and passes through Google's servers (a third party). And just because a first-party entity (as the Data Controller) may not fully process the available data for tracking purposes, does not mean Google and/or its other third parties (as Data Processors) do not make use of the identifiable data. In any event, GA cookies are not 'strictly necessary' cookies and therefore do need explicit consent. Any 'Performance Cookie' is meant to help directly with the performance of the site (for the individual user's benefit) and GA cookies clearly do not speed up the delivery of any web page.
It is also important to be aware that even though a cookie directly contains no personally-identifiable information, GA cookies commonly do have a unique identifier designed for tracking purposes, and when combined with other data, may be able to both track and identify you. Please note: We turn off (i.e. now block) GA cookies by default unless you explicitly consent to them.
It is our understanding that to properly comply with GDPR, European Privacy Laws and CCPA regulations, any data placed on a website visitor's device (and even if the data, like a cookie, contains no personally-identifiable information) does require explicit user consent (whether the data actually is a cookie or some other data type, such as Local Storage or Session Storage in a browser), with the strict exceptions of when data is necessary for the site to properly function (like to fulfil the storage of cookie preferences) or to be able to fulfil a user's request (like being able to login or service shopping cart functions).
For any e-commerce (shopping cart) use on our site, we use cookies in order to manage secure individual user actions (e.g. to keep track of what you have added to a shopping basket.) These type of cookies are completely necessary for proper operation and cannot be disabled.
Please note that when we refer to browser cookies and cookie-type information stored on your own private device, that this may either include cookies themselves, session storage, or Local Storage since all such private data storage is commonly covered by GDPR, European Privacy Laws and CCPA regulations. Any data placed on a website visitor's device (even if the data, like a cookie containing no personally-identifiable information) requires explicit user consent with the strict exceptions of when data is necessary for the site to properly function.
Any photo, video, link and social media elements of our site may then serve cookies from third parties (e.g. social media shares). These cookies are not controlled by us but by the third parties concerned. Please refer to the relevant third-party websites for information on their cookie and privacy policies.
You have a right to request copy of any personal data held by us in order to check its accuracy. If you wish to do this, please contact us explaining that your interest is to review your personal data.
As per GDPR you also have the right 'to be forgotten'. Upon any such request from you, we are happy to execute that option and delete all your account data stored by us (with the exception of any data we are lawfully obligated to hold for security or transactional purposes).
